Filip ŠOVAGOVIĆ

Filip Šovagović (Zagreb, Croatia, 1966), actor, director, guitarist, composer, producer, poet, playwright, columnist, a true artist. He is able to take out the shadows of the past through the sieve of the present and the filter of the future, to artistically transform the reality of life into poetics, perhaps most obvious in the fascination with Nikola Tesla (dramas Radio Tesla and Tesla Anonymous), and last year’s project – the drama concert Zagreb 2020 created in response to the flood, earthquake, and the pandemics. 

He counts numerous awards, film, theatre and TV roles and animation dubbings, has written various literary forms, his plays were performed in Split, Sarajevo, Zagreb, Subotica, Vienna, Osnabrück, Constance, Bonn, Santiago de Chile, and Bombay and translated into Italian, English, German, Slovak, French, Spanish and Marathi. 

He studied at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb and graduated from the Arts Academy in Split. He is a member of the acting ensemble of the Zagreb Gavella Theatre.
