Hannes KAWRZA

Hannes Kawrza (Lienz, Austria, 1953) studied saxophone under P. Straub in Graz, E. Rousseau in Vienna and Bloomington, and D. Deffayet in Angers. Apart from solo recitals, he has held concerts with numerous orchestras, organists and pianists throughout the world (Austria, Australia, Belgium, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Turkey, USA). He is currently teaching saxophone in Austria, at the University of Graz and at the Conservatory in Klagenfurt. During the academic year 1991/1992, he was a guest professor at the American Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. In collaboration with K. Kuchling, he released a CD titled FREEquencies with the works for saxophone and organ.
