Organist

KATARINA LAMOTTE (Croatia) graduated in organ from the Music Academy in Zagreb, under the guidance of Ljerka Očić. She was mentored in harpsichord studies by Pavao Mašić and Višnja Mažuran. Alongside organ and harpsichord studies, at the same Academy Javora completed the music theory program. She has received multiple awards at the competitions of the Croatian Association of Music and Dance Pedagogues and the Janko Šanjek Fund Award. Her performances have graced various festivals in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Austria, Czech Republic, Italy, and France, where she performed both as a soloist and within chamber ensembles. Notably, she has participated in competitions including Ferdo Livadić, Petr Eben, mo. Vinko Lesić, and the Darko Lukić Forum. In Vienna, Lamotte pursued concert organ studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts with Pier Damiano Peretti. She continued harpsichord studies with Emanuel Schmelzer Ziringer. She has attended interpretative seminars for both organ and harpsichord literature, within Croatia and internationally, guided by influential figures like Theo Jellema, Martin Sander, Bernhard Klapprott, Nathan Laube, Hans Fagius, Lorenzo Ghielmi, Luigi F. Tagliavini, Christoph Bossert, Aline Zylberajch, and Jean Baptiste Robin. Javora continued her education in Toulouse, under the mentorship of organists Michel Bouvard and Jan Willem Jansen, as well as harpsichordist Yasuko Bouvard. Currently, she teaches music theory subjects at the Franjo Lučić Music School, while also serving as an organist for a number of years at the Church of St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus and the Church of Mary Help of Christians in Zagreb.
