OURANIA GASSIOU (Greece, 1978) graduated organ from the Royal Academy of Music, London, where she studied with N. Kynaston. Whilst at the Academy, she received a scholarship by the Onassis Foundation and was awarded several major prizes, as well as awards from the Royal Academy of Music, including the most prestigious DipRAM award for an outstanding final recital. In 2006, she was nominated a Pidem organ Fellow of the Royal Academy of music. Aided by the Eric Thompson Trust Grant, she continued her studies with J. Geffert in Cologne and S. Landale in Paris. 

Gassiou has performed extensively throughout the UK and Europe in recital series and major international festivals as a soloist and chamber musician. Recent appearances have included performances in Westminster Cathedral, St Paulʼs Cathedral, Altenberg Dom, Riga Cathedral, Copenhagen Cathedral, Basel Münster, Maria Laach Abbey, Trondheim Cathedral, Barcelona Cathedral, Women of the World Festival (Royal Festival Hall, London), Brandneu Festival (Germany), Oundle Festival (UK), Non Sola Scripta International Festival (Poland) and Bratislava Castle, among others. 

She has received a prize at the International Organ Competition of St. Maurice, Switzerland and at the First Mediterranean Piano Competition of Andros, Greece. In 2011, she was appointed organist and curator of the organs of the Athens Concert Hall Megaron, Greece. Along with that, she serves as an organist of the French protestant church in London. In 2022, Gassiou was elected Associate of the Royal Academy of Music.
