Description

Blagoje Bersa Music School in Zadar, Concert hall: 6:30 p.m

NIKOS KANELLOPOULOS is a renowned Greek writer, music critic and radio-television presenter, acting as an artistic advisor to the International Greek organ ANO Festival on Syros, one of the islets of the magical Cyclades archipelago in the middle of the Aegean See. He arrived in Zadar thanks to the SONIC project, co-financed by the EU Erasmus+ program. The project has established cooperation between ZOF and the aforementioned Greek festival in 2022.

He will hold a 45-minute lecture in Zadar presenting the life and work of 8 Greek composers of international renown, starting from the early 19th century to today's film music (eg Vangelis). They are the pillars of Greek classical/symphonic/art music, covering two centuries of musical creation.

The lecture will be combining speech, slideshow, music and video.

"My lecture is an opportunity to learn this 'missing piece' of European music..."
