Na velikim tromanualnim orguljama zadarske katedrale zasvirat će Vincent Dubois, titularni orguljaš pariške Notre-Dame, a uz njega će nastupiti francuska harmonikašica Marie-Andrée Joerger. Susret je to dvaju instrumenata koji, premda pripadaju različitim povijesnim i izvedbenim tradicijama, dijele temeljni princip stvaranja zvuka zrakom, veliku polifonu sposobnost te iznimno bogatu paletu boja i dinamike.
Program je zamišljen kao putovanje kroz više od tri stoljeća glazbe, ali i kao istraživanje načina na koji se glazbeno djelo mijenja prelaskom iz jednoga instrumentalnog medija u drugi. Od precizno oblikovanog kontrapunkta Bachova Koncerta za dva čembala, preko monumentalne orguljske arhitekture Franckova Prvog korala, program vodi prema profinjenoj francuskoj koloristici Fauréa i Poulenca, a zatim do suvremenog svijeta harmonike u djelima Francka Angélisa i Richarda Galliana.

Vincent Dubois, titular organist of Notre-Dame de Paris, will perform on the grand three-manual organ of Zadar Cathedral, joined by French accordionist Marie-Andrée Joerger. Although the two instruments belong to different historical and performance traditions, they share the same fundamental principle of producing sound through air, as well as remarkable polyphonic capacity and an exceptionally rich palette of colours and dynamics.
The programme is conceived as a journey through more than three centuries of music, but also as an exploration of how a musical work changes when transferred from one instrumental medium to another. From the finely shaped counterpoint of Bach’s Concerto for Two Harpsichords and the monumental organ architecture of Franck’s First Chorale, the programme moves towards the refined French colourism of Fauré and Poulenc, before entering the contemporary world of the accordion in works by Franck Angélis and Richard Galliano.
