KREŠIMIR KLARIĆ (Karlovac, 1994) graduated magna cum laude in Organ Performance (2019) under full professor Ljerka Očić, D.M.A., and in Composition (2021) under full professor Berislav Šipuš, M.A., at the Academy of Music, University of Zagreb.
He performs regularly in Croatia and abroad as an organ soloist and chamber musician. His graduation work in composition was the Concerto for Organ and Orchestra “Die Suche nach dem Licht”, for which he was awarded the Dean’s Prize. The concerto was premiered in January 2022 at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall, with Klarić as soloist, accompanied by the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra under maestro Ivan Josip Skender.
His works have been performed in Croatia, Slovenia, North Macedonia, and Germany. He is also the author of the first Croatian opera for children and youth, Regoč, which achieved significant success both nationally and internationally in 2024.
Klarić serves as principal organist of the National Shrine of St. Joseph and the Parish of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Snows in Karlovac, as well as frequently performing at Požega Cathedral.
He teaches both instrumental and theoretical subjects at the Karlovac Music School. Together with Elena Roce, he is vice-president of the association Organum Histriae, which organizes the international organ festival of the same name.
