Tjaša Drovenik Adamec began her musical education at the Rogaška Slatina Music School with prof. Andreja Krklec and continued at the Art Gymnasium in Velenje, majoring in organ in the class of mag. Ema Zapušek. She pursued her musical education with undergraduate studies in Organ — Concert performance and Instrumental-vocal pedagogy (IGP) at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz (Austria), in the class of Prof. Ulrich Walther. As part of her pedagogical studies, she also studied jazz singing with Prof. Ines Dominik Reiger. In 2015, she continued her postgraduate studies in concert organ performance with Prof. Walther at the University of Music in Graz, where she 2018 obtained the title of Master of Arts. Since 2019, she has been a doctoral student in Educational Sciences, researching musical talent at the Faculty of Education, University of Maribor, where she also completed her Master’s degree in Music pedagogy with distinction in 2023–2024.
Tjaša performs in Slovenia and abroad, and takes part in different international projects. Since November 2020, she has been regularly collaborating with internationally renowned saxophonist Weronika Partyka in the duo Aerofonia, with whom she recorded a repertoire for organ and saxophone for the RTV Slovenia archive in March 2021. Since December 2022, she has also been collaborating with composer and saxophonist Albert Kerekeš, with whom she released a CD titled The Walk Through Space, featuring his original works for baritone-saxophone and organ in July 2024. She is a laureate of several national and international competitions. In May 2017, she was awarded a scholarship by the Society of Friends of the University of Music in Graz for her academic achievements. She has furthered her musical knowledge by participating in international masterclasses with renowned organ professors: Martin Schmeding, Andreas Rothkopf, Michael Kapsner, Naji Hakim, Hans-Jürgen Kaiser, Pavel Kohout, Konstantin Volostnov, Ben van Oosten, Raúl Prieto Ramírez, Lorenzo Ghielmi.
As a member of the coordinating group of the Slovenian Organ Society, she helps organize various organ and music projects, and she is the coordinator and leader of the Orglekids Slovenia workshops as well. Since February 2019, she has been regularly serving as an organist in the Maribor Cathedral. Tjaša is also active in the field of education. From 2018 to 2025, she taught organ and chamber music at the Music School and Art Gymnasium in Velenje, at the Music School in Rogaška Slatina, and at the Anton Martin Slomšek Music and Ballet School in Maribor. In January 2025, she began working as a teaching assistant in music subjects at the Faculty of Education, University of Maribor.
