Program 8. Zadar Organ Festivala nastavlja se u ponedjeljak, 21. rujna, u jednom od najprepoznatljivijih zadarskih prostora, u crkvi sv. Donata.
U njezinoj jedinstvenoj akustici susrest će se ljudski glasovi i orgulje: renomirani hrvatski vokalni ansambl Antiphonus, pod umjetničkim vodstvom Tomislava Fačinija, te zadarska orguljašica i umjetnička voditeljica Zadar Organ Festivala Tea Kulaš.
Program povezuje glazbu Johanna Sebastiana Bacha sa suvremenim, meditativnim zvukovnim svijetom Arva Pärta, Pēterisa Vasksa i Frane Krasovca.
U njegovu središtu nalazi se Bachov motet Jesu, meine Freude, jedno od najznačajnijih ostvarenja njegova vokalnog opusa, uz orguljske korale O Mensch, bewein dein Sünde groß i Schmücke dich, o liebe Seele.
Bachovoj glazbi pridružit će se Pärtov My Heart’s in the Highlands, Vasksov The Fruit of Silence te O Crux hrvatskog skladatelja Frane Krasovca.
Program tako gradi zvučni luk između baroka i suvremenosti – od Bachove slojevite polifonije do pročišćenoga i kontemplativnog glazbenog izraza 20. i 21. stoljeća.
Antiphonus je jedan od istaknutih hrvatskih vokalnih ansambala, čiji repertoar obuhvaća glazbu od renesanse i baroka do suvremenih autora. Ansambl redovito nastupa na hrvatskim i međunarodnim festivalima, a prepoznatljiv je po preciznosti, homogenom zvuku i izraženom osjećaju za različite stilove.
Za orguljama će im se pridružiti Tea Kulaš, zadarska orguljašica i muzikologinja, osnivačica, organizatorica i umjetnička voditeljica Zadar Organ Festivala. U svom umjetničkom radu posebno se posvećuje interdisciplinarnim projektima i popularizaciji orgulja među širom publikom, istražujući njihove izvedbene i tehnološke mogućnosti izvan okvira tradicionalnog orguljaškog recitala.
Posebnu vizualnu dimenziju večeri ponovno će oblikovati grčki umjetnik Hristos Tolis, koji potpisuje dizajn svjetla.
🎶 Glas, orgulje, arhitektura i svjetlo susrest će se u prostoru sv. Donata u večeri posvećenoj glazbi, tišini, duhovnosti i kontemplaciji.
Ulaz je slobodan, uz mogućnost dobrovoljne donacije kojom se podržava rad Umjetničke organizacije Zara.

The programme of the 8th Zadar Organ Festival continues on Monday, 21 September, in one of Zadar’s most iconic spaces – St Donatus Church.
Within its unique acoustics, human voices and the organ will come together in a concert featuring the renowned Croatian vocal ensemble Antiphonus, under the artistic direction of Tomislav Fačini, alongside Zadar organist and Artistic Director of the Zadar Organ Festival Tea Kulaš.
The programme brings the music of Johann Sebastian Bach into dialogue with the contemporary, meditative sound worlds of Arvo Pärt, Pēteris Vasks and Frano Krasovac.
At its centre is Bach’s motet Jesu, meine Freude, one of the most significant works of his vocal output, together with the organ chorales O Mensch, bewein dein Sünde groß and Schmücke dich, o liebe Seele.
Bach’s music will be complemented by Pärt’s My Heart’s in the Highlands, Vasks’s The Fruit of Silence, and O Crux by Croatian composer Frano Krasovac.
The programme thus traces a musical arc between the Baroque and the present day – from Bach’s intricate polyphony to the refined and contemplative musical language of the 20th and 21st centuries.
Antiphonus is one of Croatia’s prominent vocal ensembles, with a repertoire ranging from Renaissance and Baroque music to works by contemporary composers. The ensemble regularly appears at festivals in Croatia and abroad and is known for its precision, homogeneous sound and strong sense of style.
At the organ, they will be joined by Tea Kulaš, a Zadar-based organist and musicologist, founder, organiser and Artistic Director of the Zadar Organ Festival. Her artistic work is especially focused on interdisciplinary projects and on bringing the organ closer to a wider audience, while exploring the instrument’s broader performance and technological possibilities beyond the traditional organ recital.
A special visual dimension will once again be created by Greek artist Hristos Tolis, who is responsible for the lighting design.
🎶 Voice, organ, architecture and light will come together within St Donatus Church in an evening devoted to music, silence, spirituality and contemplation.
Admission is free, with the option of making a voluntary donation in support of the work of the Zara Artistic Organisation.
