„Nije toliko važno mnogo misliti koliko mnogo ljubiti; zato činite ono što vas najviše potiče na ljubav.” - sv. Terezija Avilska
Koncertni dio 8. Zadar Organ Festivala otvaramo projektom Il Castello Interiore, nadahnutim životom i duhovnošću sv.
Tu ideju koncert prenosi u susret glazbe, pokreta i prostora.
Erika Rombaldoni (ples), David Brutti (kornet) i Giovannimaria Perrucci (orgulje).
Il Castello Interiore otvara ovogodišnje festivalsko putovanje upravo ondje gdje se nalazi i sama srž Zadar Organ Festivala, na susretu različitih umjetnosti, povijesnih razdoblja i novih načina slušanja.

“It is not so essential to think much as to love much; therefore do whatever most arouses you to love.” - St Teresa of Ávila
The concert programme of the 8th Zadar Organ Festival opens with Il Castello Interiore, a project inspired by the life and spirituality of St Teresa of Ávila, one of the most important mystics of the Western Christian tradition and the first woman to be proclaimed a Doctor of the Church.
The title of the concert comes from her celebrated work The Interior Castle, in which she imagines the human soul as a castle with many chambers. Passing through them becomes a journey towards one’s inner self and, ultimately, towards an encounter with God.
The concert translates this idea into a meeting of music, movement and space.
Renaissance and early Baroque music by Frescobaldi, Juan del Encina, Francisco Correa de Arauxo, Gesualdo and Palestrina is performed on organ and the historical cornetto, while dance becomes an integral part of the musical dramaturgy.
It is precisely through this meeting of different artistic languages that we open this year’s concert programme. Since its beginnings, the Zadar Organ Festival has sought to take the organ beyond its conventional concert setting, connecting it with dance, theatre, film, visual art and contemporary performance practices, and showing audiences just how alive, adaptable and open to new interpretations this instrument can be.
Three exceptional Italian artists will perform in the Atrium of the Providur’s Palace:
Erika Rombaldoni (dance), David Brutti (cornetto) and Giovannimaria Perrucci (organ).
Il Castello Interiore opens this year’s festival journey exactly where the essence of the Zadar Organ Festival lies: at the meeting point of different art forms, historical periods and new ways of listening.
